One of the most famous hostels in Tulum, Mayan Monkey features an impressive pool, outdoor bar, and courtyard area. The party on the rooftop typically starts around 10, and they allow all guests to joing, so it does get crowded almost every night of the week! The party usually lasts until 1-3am until people disperse and usually go next door to Santino Club. The beds and rooms themselves are pretty standard, but nothing exceptional, considering it is a budget and party hostel – expect just the bare minimum. The hostel has all sorts of fun drinking games such as ‘spin the wheel’, where you’ll land on anything from a free shot to jumping naked in the pool! ![]() Don’t expect to get any sleep here, however, and you won’t be living in luxury like some other hostels.
